This is part of a Commonwealth Government initiative that will come into effect between July 2025 and July 2027. It was developed as part of the response to the industry Royal Commission.
The intent is to better support people at home so that they can continue to lead independent lives. It has new classifications and pricing and is designed to also help people who have complex needs.
Implementing the changes requires a significant investment in time, effort, training and personnel by aged care providers. HCi has already helped a number of those providers by:
- Documenting the new business processes required to adapt to the change
- Helping develop policies and training to meet the requirements
- Process mapping and requirements analysis for new systems
- Change management to help staff adapt
